WAMMCO's Katanning plant will be closed from Friday 24 July 2009 and for the month of August 2009. As has been discussed in general and through the media the plant will be undergoing a major redevelopment of its Lamb Boning Room which will bring it in to line with best international lamb processing practice. At the current time we are experiencing a very tight supply of livestock to our site and it is our intention to try and keep the site open until Friday 24 July 2009. We are confident that the plant will be up and running to commence processing again on Monday 31st August 2009. Wammco has not closed for this length of time for many years but this cannot be helped this year as this upgrade is a very important part of the continued improvement and value adding programme that will help deliver ongoing superior annual returns to our shareholders in Western Australia. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all shareholders and staff for their loyalty and hard work that has been evident in the 2008/09 processing season and we look forward to being able to continue our successful formula going forward in the many seasons to come.
