To our Valued Customers,
WAMMCO International is pleased to announce that from 1 July 2011 it will take over the management and production facilities of NSW based meat processor Southern Meats Pty Ltd in Goulburn.
Over the past decade WAMMCO has worked hard to build a strong reputation for the supply of high quality lamb and sheepmeat products from Western Australia. This new business expansion into Eastern Australia will compliment WAMMCO’s WA based operations and help sure-up supply capabilities at a time when livestock numbers across Australia are at their lowest levels in over 100 years.
The Southern Meats processing facility is a similar sized business to WAMMCO, and brings with it an excellent reputation for producing lamb and mutton products under the Fine Brand product range. Fine Brand will continue to be supplied to customers in domestic and export markets. Products and facilities are certified for supply as EU, USA and Halal.
The combined operations of the Katanning and Goulburn facilities firmly position WAMMCO as a leading player in the Australian and international sheep meat industry. The broader supply base will help us maintain a consistent supply to customers 12 months of the year. In addition, the combined resources and scale of the business will provide opportunities for synergies and cost efficiencies.
Thank you for ongoing support for WAMMCO and we look forward to sharing the opportunities this new business can bring to both our companies.
